About GlucodOX®

AMPK is the body’s nutrient/energy sensor. It helps regulate many metabolic activities — from lipid, carbohydrate, and protein metabolism…to cell growth and death…to stress response pathways.

GlucodOX®, a proprietary gum extract derived from the Commiphora mukul tree and standardized to contain 2.0% guggulsterones, has been shown to enhance AMPK activity in vitro.*[s1]  It is manufactured through a unique supercritical CO2 extraction process that recovers the active constituents, which are then dissolved in a base of medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil for enhanced efficacy and bioavailability.

GlucodOX® shows tremendous promise for enhancing various metabolic functions, including:

Mechanism of Action

GlucodOX® demonstrates energizing action through its ability to stimulate the production of AMPK.* [5],[6],[7] In addition, GluocodOX® promotes glucose uptake, a measure of insulin sensitivity;[8] reduces cholesterol production by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase;[9],[10] and supports healthy weight control by reducing the transformation of pre-adipocytes to adipocytes.*[11],[12]In vitro comparisons between GlucodOX™ and a competitive ingredient, Gugulipid®, found that GlucodOX® enhanced AMPK and inhibited HMG-CoA reductase at least twice as well as Gugulipid®.*

Safety

Guggul resin has been used in Ayurveda, the traditional medicine in India, for thousands of years. MCT oils occur naturally in many foods such as palm kernel and coconut oils and are regularly consumed all over the world.
