EubioQuercetin™ is a water-soluble quercetin that is more bioavailable than conventional, commercially available quercetin.*
While quercetin is a healthy plant flavonol from the flavonoid group of polyphenols found in many fruits and vegetables, there’s one problem with conventional quercetin ingredients — they are poorly absorbed and, thus require manufacturers to include quercetin at doses as high as 1,000 mg.
Not so with EubioQuercetin. Derived from the Japanese pagoda tree (Sophora japonica), EubioQuercetin was developed to optimize 100% of the natural quercetin found in plants, including a unique non-digestible oligosaccharide prebiotic, rutinose. The result is a proprietary quercetin ingredient that is effective at a low daily dose of 125 mg in these same formulations.*
EubioQuercetin is a natural high-absorption alternative to enzymatically-treated quercetin ingredients. This special quercetin-rutinoside ingredient offers the following benefits
EubioQuercetin is perfectly suited for healthy aging, beauty from within, intestinal health and stress-relief formulations.*
The formulation of Eubio-Quercetin was developed to address the paradox in which quercetin loses its natural water-soluble properties when it is extracted despite the presence of the water-soluble sugars. The Quercetin molecule in the plant is in an amorphous state. When it is extracted, incorporation of water into the quercetin raw material will change the structure into an insoluble lattice structure. Through a proprietary manufacturing method which includes L-arginine and ascorbic acid along with the natural quercetin-rutinoside, the formula ensures the quercetin retains its water solubility when extracted through preventing incorporation of water into the Quercetin molecule. This allows for the amorphous state and its water-soluble capabilities to be retained. With this added characteristic, water-soluble EubioQuercetin can provide several benefits such as an improved bioavailability, improved activity on enzyme inhibition in the pancreatic juice, and greater potential for various formulations.
The FDA classifies food additives into four categories, of which GRAS is one. Quercetin-3 Rutinoside is a food additive that fulfills two of these categories. From this information, EubioQuercetin is a product consisting of only food additive and GRAS ingredients.
The individual components of EubioQuercetin are registered with INCI (International Cosmetic Ingredients). EubioQuercetin has been tested for safety in phototoxicity and skin allergy tests.
EubioQuercetin is manufactured in a cGMP-compliant manufacturing facility in Japan.
